DESERT OASIS 2011 “What Do I Do with my Pain?”

| Gwen Shamblin and the Weigh Down Ministries Staff invite you to join them for a powerful time of encouragement, teaching, praise, and amazing testimonies. Brand new participants, long time Weigh Down’ers and friends will benefit from practical sessions on how to apply the Word of God to your weight, marriage, finances and children. You will hear how to practically apply scripture to your weight loss and life. You will be given the answers to what is holding you back from losing your weight permanently and be set free. Join us for this weekend and you will leave with a deeper relationship with God and be filled up with convicting Truth that will set the tone for the rest of the year.
Schedule for the weekend:
Friday, July 22nd: 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm -Meet at the Weigh Down Building at 1 pm – enjoy a tour and meet the Weigh Down Staff. 308 Seaboard Lane, Franklin, TN 37067 3:00pm – 6:00pm – Remnant Fellowship Church 1230 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN. Registration and Opening Reception: Pick up your Welcome Packet & Program, meet Your Regional Representative, Online Coordinator & Favorite Testimonies Resource Room is open. 6:00pm – Evening Session with founder, Gwen Shamblin, M.S.,R.D. Reception immediately following evening session. 8:30am – Doors open. Resource Room is open for shopping & late registration. 9:30am – Morning session with founder, Gwen Shamblin. 12:00pm – Lunch break. Lunch will be available on site. 1:30pm – Gather for afternoon session. 2:00pm – Afternoon Session with Gwen Shamblin
** For those staying in town for Saturday night, we will gather again around 6 pm for a time of testimony.
1. CHILDCARE – Although childcare is not provided, audio/video is available in the nursery for those with young children. All children under 18 are free to this event. Please make sure to register each person. Ideally you will only want to bring children who are able to sit through the sessions for your own sake to hear everything! 2. EVENT LOCATION – Parking is available on-site. The event location is approximately 3 minutes off of Interstate 65 and about 15-20 minutes from the Nashville International Airport. 3. LODGING – Large Hotel Chains in the Brentwood & Cool Springs area such as Hilton, Best Western, Holiday Inn, Country Inn & Suites, Marriott, Embassy Suites and more are easy to access. This is a great time to use accumulated points. If you use Priceline or another travel service, you want either Brentwood or the Franklin Cool Springs area. Both areas are nice areas and you will most likely be able to depend on the quality of the hotel. 4. RESTAURANTS – Information on local restaurants & tourist areas is available if you want to extend your stay in Nashville.
In closing, many participants who attended past Desert Oasis events say this is a life-changing weekend – a weekend that begins a domino effect of long sought-after life changes. If the Sprit is prompting you to come, don’t miss out. God has an incredible way of working out all of the details and anxiety of travelling. If you will lay it before Him – He will make a way!
